About the artist...

The Rev’d Fr. Robert-Chas. Shane Bengry is a life-long heraldic enthusiast and has had the joy of painting for a variety of individuals and organisations as well as the Heraldic Authority of Canada. In addition to his theological training, Fr. Bengry earned a Bachelor of Design. Before he became a Catholic Priest, Fr. Bengry worked in a variety of communications/design capacities and was a free-lance designer.

Fr. Bengry is the Parish Priest at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in the historic Inglewood neighbourhood. He creates his artistic works at Bridge End Cottage in Calgary, Canada. Father’s schedule doesn’t allow him to draw and paint as often as he would like but he does continue take ecclesiastical commissions from time to time.
